Dance Classes

Dance Classes

Master the rudiments of dance and movement through our various dance programs. Everyone can try out the dance classes, regardless of your prior experience. These ongoing classes provide a safe space for everyone to explore dance. These classes are have a strong focus on storytelling.

Dance Classes

Dance Classes

Our dance classes are catered mostly for adults, unless specified. Our focus on storytelling is inspired by the dance training programs found on Broadway and London, and our trainers are widely exposed and still perform and teach regularly.

Contemporary (Cunningham Technique)
RM120/month | Mondays 8pm-9pm | Taught by Kenny Shim
The Cunningham Technique is rigorous in nature. It is designed to create strength, flexibility and speed – of both body and mind. Students are taught to be alert and focused in class. The technique challenges a dancer’s ability to change direction within the body in space, thus enhancing a greater internal sense of direction within oneself.

Hip Hop
RM120/month | Mondays 9.30pm-10.30pm | Taught by Luke Ong
The Hip Hop dance students learn about rhythm and coordination, and the techniques of hip hop choreography and movement. Students are often challenged to be creative in their learning while enjoying an energetic and fast-paced dance class which focuses on strength and agility. Students will also come to learn about hip hop from a cultural viewpoint, understanding how the moves and styles that they learn in this class became part of the hip hop dance culture over the years.

Theatre Jazz (Broadway Techniques)
RM150/month | Saturdays 8pm-9.30pm | Taught by Megan Chng
This class is designed to familiarise dancers with the classic styles of Jazz dance (Jack Cole, Bob Fosse, Michael Bennett), with an emphasis on storytelling through their performance in an encouraging and highly supportive environment! Class commences with a technique based warm up, building the dancer’s strength, balance, and flexibility. New choreography will be taught every week to create versatile and confident dancers!
